We then take the information gathered from this meeting, along with our clients’ answers to questions designed to clearly define the project’s scope, and produce a custom eCommerce website design with a look and feel that is consistent, professional, pleasing, and engaging. With the Standard eCommerce Web Design Package, Chico Webmasters will:
- Conduct a 1-on-1 Project Planning and Needs Assessment Consultation (up to 4 hours in length)
- Register a single domain name for your eCommerce website
- Allocate 50-100 hours for multiple rounds of a single design concept. This will include the:
- Creation of a custom homepage design based on input provided by you (with up to 3 rounds of edits via electronic communication and data transfer)
- Creation of a custom product description page design based on input provided by you (with up to 3 rounds of edits via electronic communication and data transfer)
- Presentation of 3 OpenCart eCommerce templates, from which you will select one to serve as the raw framework for your custom design. These templates will be carefully selected based on information you provided during our Project Planning and Needs Assessment Consultation and the custom homepage design itself
- Creation of 1 custom global stylesheet to restructure and uniquely theme the selected OpenCart eCommerce template to complement the style of your custom homepage design concept
- Convert the custom design to XHTML, CSS , and web-optimized images
- Create an external cascading style sheet with organized sections defining all elements used throughout your custom eCommerce site
- Install and configure the OpenCart eCommerce platform
- Incorporate JavaScript and PHP scripts to drive any functionality that the agreed upon design will require (up to 4 plugins and/or widgets above and beyond the core capabilities offered by the default OpenCart eCommerce platform)
- Provide you with instruction and verbal assistance with organizing and submitting all essential product information, including product names, SKU numbers, prices, descriptions, product images, and categories for up to 50 products which we will then upload and insert into your design. (You can add as many additional products as you want via the admin panel upon project completion. Note: the 50 product limit does not include variations in color or size of a single product. For instance, a shirt that is sold in black, blue, or green, and comes in Medium and XL sizes, only counts as 1 product toward the 50 product limit).
- Process, optimize, and insert up to 20 additional non-product images, videos, and/or audio files into appropriate locations
- Offer verbal and written guidance to assist you in setting up a third-party payment gateway solution and/or with setting up your own online merchant account and/or in acquiring a private SSL certificate to enable you to process credit card transactions within your online store. (Or, if you prefer, and you give us the required information and approval, we can do this for you)
- Perform Standard eCommerce Package store setup, which includes: shipping functionality, payment methods, tax and checkout options, search engine optimization of product listings, sales reporting, guest checkout, and personal store settings, all based on your needs
- Ensure consistent cross-browser rendering of the custom design in the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera
- Provide you with 4 hours of training in the operation of the OpenCart eCommerce platform: a 4-hour course; learn how to create discounts, coupon codes, customer groups, work with orders and returns, add products and categories, understand SEO, and much more
- Provide you with access to written instructions on how to perform many common eCommerce website management tasks associated with the OpenCart eCommerce platform
