The Australian Sea Lion is a species of sea lion that breeds only on the south and west coasts of Australia and they are one of the rarest sea lion species in the world. The males, called bulls, have chocolate brown fur, with a creamy crown and neck. Females, called cows, are silvery grey above and creamy yellow below.

Short-Beaked Echidna

The Short-Beaked Echidna is covered in fur and spines, and has a distinctive snout and a specialized tongue, which it uses a catch its prey at a great speed. The echidna lack any fighting ability, and they repel predators by curling into a ball and deterring them with its spines. The echidna are found throughout Australia.

The Short-Beaked Echidna's body, beside the underside, is covered with cream-colored spines, which are made of keratin. The spines are colored from honey to a dark reddish-brown, and even black. The diet of echnidnas is largely made up of ants and termites, though they will eat other invertebrates like larvae and worms.

Koala

The koala is native to Australia and found in the coastal regions of eastern and southern Australia. Koalas have long, thick fur which is a dark gray. They have chocolate-brown highlights on the back and forearms, and has prominent fluffy white ear tufts.

Koalas live almost entirely on eucalypti leaves. They have a very low metabolism, and spend nearly 16 to 18 hours a day motionless. Koalas spend about three of their five active hours eating.

Dingo

Dingos are dogs mainly found on Australia. Their natural habitat ranges from deserts, to grasslands, and on the verge of forests. The fur of an adult dingo is short, bushy on the tail, and varies in thickness and length depending on the climate. The fur color is mostly sandy to reddish brown.

Dingos have a very large diet. Around 170 species, ranging from insects to buffalo , have been identified as part of their diet. 80% of the diet of wild dogs consists of 10 species: red kangaroo, swamp wallaby, cattle, dusky rat, magpie goose, common brushtail possum, long-haired rat, agile wallaby, European rabbit, and the common wombat.

Kangaroo

Kangaroos are endemic to Australia and are the country's national symbol. There are four species of kangaroos: red kangaroo, eastern grey kangaroo, western gray kangaroo, and the antilopine kangaroo. Kangaroos have developed a number of adaptions to a dry, infertile country and highly variable climates.

Kangaroos are all herbivores. Some species are predominantly a grazer eating of grasses whereas some other species include significant amounts of shrubs in their diet.

Tiger

The tiger is the largest cat species, and the third largest land carnivore. Tigers are normally found from southwest and central Asia. They range from the Siberian taiga to open grasslands and tropical swamps. The most unique characteristic of tigers is the distinctive black stripes on their orange or brown fur. The pattern of stripes is unique to each animal. Tigresses (female tigers) are smaller than the males.

Tigers mostly feed on larger and medium sized animals, such as wild boar, water buffalo, and domestic buffalo. They also prey on other predators, such as leopards, pythons, sloth bears, and crocodiles.

Elephant

Elephants are large mammals that are scattered throughout sub-Saharan Africa and south to Southeast Asia. Elephants can be found in numerous habitats, including savannas, forests, deserts, and marshes, and they prefer to stay near water. They are the largest living terrestrial animals. They can reach a height of 13 feet and can weigh up to 13.334 pounds. Elephants have several distinctive features, including a long trunk that they use for numerous purposes, particularly for grasping objects. Their ears are extremely large and help them to control their temperature. Elephants also have large tusks, and are normally colored a dark gray.

Elephants are herbivores and can eat up to 660 pounds in a single day. They are both grazers and browsers; they eat plants of almost any size, from grass up to trees. Elephants can also drink up to 50 gallons of water in a day.
