Scrubland

The shrubland, scrubland or shrub is a plant community that has vegetation mainly of shrubs but will sometimes have grass or herbs and such. A shrubland is sometimes naturally made or even man-made but is not a favorable habitat for people.

Shrublands consist of short trees or shrubs and and is used to describe a biome plant group. Many shrubs thrive on steep, rocky slopes and are open enough for other vegetation to grow. In order to combat droughts the shrubs have also adapted to conserve water.


Wildlife found in these type of habitats consist of snakes to lynxes. The shrub provides cover for preys from predators and is also a place to feed.
